The Takoradi Harbour, located in the Western region of Ghana, is situated in the industrial district of Sekondi-Takoradi. It is Ghana’s oldest harbour, having been commissioned for business in 1928 to facilitate the country’s international trade.
Strategically positioned at latitude 4°532’ north and longitude 1°345’ west, the port is 225 km west of Accra, the capital city.
This location makes the Port of Takoradi a very cost-effective route for trade with Europe, America, and Asia.
