DID YOU KNOW THAT THE TAKORADI PORT IS THE OLDEST HARBOUR IN GHANA, DATING BACK TO 1928?

Did you know that Takoradi’s port is the oldest harbour in Ghana?

The Takoradi Harbour, located in the Western region of Ghana, is situated in the industrial district of Sekondi-Takoradi. It is Ghana’s oldest harbour, having been commissioned for business in 1928 to facilitate the country’s international trade.

Strategically positioned at latitude 4°532’ north and longitude 1°345’ west, the port is 225 km west of Accra, the capital city.
This location makes the Port of Takoradi a very cost-effective route for trade with Europe, America, and Asia.
