Course Duration

Total course duration is two days.

Course Aim

The aim of this course is to equip attendees with the knowledge and skills required to safely plan, enter and work in confined spaces, as well as respond to emergencies, while complying with safety regulations and best practices.

Learning Objectives

Following successful completion of the course, attendees should be able to:

Define a confined space and identify its characteristics
Recognise various types of confined spaces in the workplace
Identify hazards associated with confined space work
Understand legal and regulatory requirements
Apply safe systems of work for confined space entry
Conduct risk assessments and atmospheric testing
Select and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Implement emergency response and rescue procedures
Maintain effective communication and monitoring during confined space work

Examination and Certificates

Written and Practical exercises are given to each attendee.

A Pasico CIT Division Certificate of Completion is issued to each attendee who successfully completes the course of instruction.
